Location

The sea lodge is located in Northern Norway, in the county of Troms. The Tjeldsund bridge lies not far away and connects the Norwegian mainland with Hinnøya, the biggest island in Norway. Although the lodge is in a serene and beautiful setting, you do not have to drive far to reach shops and other urban facilities.

The nearest village, Evenskjer, is 5 kilometers away. Evenskjer is the centre of Skånland municipality where you find local shops, the post office and bank-facilities. Evenskjer has a population of about 600 residents.

The domestic airport of Harstad/Narvik, Evenes Airport, is only an 18 kilometer drive away. At the airport you can rent a car.

The nearest town is Harstad, 25 kilometers from the sea lodge. With a population of 23 000 Harstad is an average sized Norwegian town called the pearl of the Vågsfjord.

The town of Narvik is situated 100 kilometers south. The town has one of the best downhill skiing resorts in Norway, in a stunningly attractive setting.

Svolvær, the main town in Lofoten, lies 100 kilometers southwest of the sea lodge. Main road 10 to Lofoten passes by the sea lodge. With the opening of the new Lofast road in 2007, it now takes only two hours to reach Lofoten.

The biggest city in Northern Norway, Tromsø, is a 3 to 4 hour drive north, or about 280 kilometers. Tromsø is the biggest city north of the Arctic Circle with the world’s northernmost university (University of Tromsø) and brewery (Mack Ølbryggeri). A landmark of the city is its famous church called the “The Arctic Cathedral”.

Bodø, the second-biggest city in Northern Norway, is situated 300 kilometers to the south. You find the world's most powerful maelstroem, Saltstraumen, just 33 kilometers from the city.
